Marine fuel trading company FLEX Commodities FZCO has appointed Long Jing Xin as an associate-marine fuels in Singapore, Ship & Bunker reported. The appointment took effect this month, according to a LinkedIn announcement by the company cited in the report. Her remit includes supporting commercial work within the firm's marine fuels business.
FLEX said Long would also help develop industry relationships and identify business opportunities as it seeks to expand its presence in Singapore and the wider region. The company described the position in terms of commercial support, relationship development and the pursuit of opportunities within its marine fuels operations, rather than outlining a specific trading portfolio for the new associate.
In announcing the hire, FLEX highlighted Long's experience in business development, product sales and managing client relationships across several industries. According to the company's account, her previous work has involved finding new business, establishing strategic partnerships and supporting regional commercial initiatives across Southeast Asia. FLEX presented that combination of sales and relationship-management experience as the background she brings to the new position.
Before joining the marine fuel trader, Long was a product manager at Westcon-Comstor Asia in Singapore. Ship & Bunker reported that she held that role from February 2026 until last month. The report identifies that product-management post as her most recent position before the move to FLEX's marine fuels business.
Earlier in her career, Long worked at Kingsmen Creatives from January 2023 to January 2026, with senior marketing executive listed as her final role there. Those appointments form the career history set out in the report alongside FLEX's description of her regional commercial experience.
FLEX Commodities was launched in September 2024 by Rakesh Sharma, formerly chief operating officer of Oilmar, according to Ship & Bunker. The Singapore appointment follows that launch and accompanies the company's stated ambition to build its presence locally and across the wider region.
